Looking for Alaska

Looking for Alaska

Author : Green, John

The unmissable first novel from bestselling and award-winning author of THE FAULT IN OUR STARS.

“If people were rain, I was drizzle and she was a hurricane.”

Miles Halter’s whole life has been one big non-event, until he meets Alaska Young.

Gorgeous, clever and undoubtedly screwed-up, Alaska draws Miles into her reckless world and irrevocably steals his heart. For Miles, nothing can ever be the same again.

‘Looking for Alaska’ brilliantly captures the exquisite painful joy of living and loving. Poignant, funny, heartbreaking and compelling, this novel will stay with you forever.

  • It is an interesting novel with little bit of adventures, mystery & investigation.. I can't say much as it is a simple book, fun & easy read for mainly teenagers & new starters..

  • This book is extraordinary! It even made me look at life differently.

  • from all of john greens' novels this has got to be my favorite one , i couldn't put it down ...

  • IT IS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVS its truly underrated

  • I finished this book in one sitting. I don't really know how I feel about this book. It was not as I expected it to be cuz I heared a lot of good things about it, but I didn't acknowledge the goodness in it. This book deals with the Big Ones: suffering, loss, and grief, but it does so with such compassion and humor also. I would recommend this book for Older teen only

  • I've read all of John green's books and this has to be my favorite. It's heart warming and makes you observe everything from friends to your actions to your attitude towards anything. LKA always leaves me with a cloud of thoughts and over whelming feeling of the need to protect anyone dear to me.

  • John Green has created a mysterious and beautiful story once again with such a great and genuine character

  • This book has really showed me that the ONLY way out of the labyrinth of suffering is to Forgive. I'v been living in the middle of the labyrinth, and i'v been really using the future to escape the present, i'v always promised that i'll find my way out of the labyrinth someday -even sometimes i pretended that i found my way out and i'm free, but i never was- . And i'd never be out of it if i hadn't read this book. This book showed me that when you forgive the people that hurt you, broke you or let you down, you're not only giving them another life, you're also setting yourself FREE. When you want to get out of the labyrinth you can't just sit there dreaming about getting out of it, you have to take a move, to do something to really get out of it.. and this book has showed me that the step i have to take is to FORGIVE. This book has also taught me that people are not always what you think of them, they might be worse, better, or even something way too different than you thought they are. I liked the way this book was written, it's like you're living with this person who tells the story and you're really seeing how they're changing and developing through the time, John green has separated it into two sections : a section BEFORE this thing happens, and a section AFTER this thing happened. it's really like the real life, we all have this EVENT in our life where after it nothing seems the same anymore! weather it's losing someone, or loving someone, or meeting new people, or realizing something ..etc I Just love you John Green and thank you for showing me the REAL WAY OUT OF THE LABYRINTH...

  • John green is extremely talented, this book cannot be out down! It's the first book i've read and its wonderful

  • Like every other john green book this book is amazing

  • John Green is one fantastic writer. I fell in love with the characters he created. I loved the theme of 'last words' throughout the book and thought that it added a perfect touch to the melancholy story line. And it's one of those books that you continue to think about long after you read the last page. I highly recommend it!
